Still here!
Nov. 4th, 2011 09:21 pmYup, I'm still around. Had one of those birthday things, got some presents and a yummy cake. Generally just messing around doing RP stuff, although I'm not sure if I'm going to Mini-con this weekend or not. I really should be a responsible adult and get a flu shot. I'll make up my mind at some point, lol.
So anyway, I'm here, I'm old, and would like some more cake now, please. XD

I feel bad for not posting in here, but things are more or less normal, which means fairly boring. Although GenCon is coming up soon, so yay! And looking forward to a visit in July from a friend (you know who you are!) and...um. That's it.
I am dull, people. XD
Anyway, at work so can't witter on about nothing, but wanted to let you all know I'm still here.

Alumni Weekend 2011 Playlist
Apr. 20th, 2011 04:59 pmShorter than normal show this year, as Rebellious Jukebox ran over into my slot. But it was to help support the station, so I can't complain too much. Having WBNY around so I can do this each year is worth losing the 15 minutes over.
Also I was unoriginal and worked TV themes in to the show again in between songs, but everything flowed pretty smoothly, and other than one small miscue I did not have any major screwups for a change!! Yay me. :) My only regret is that I found out I could have recorded it a little too late for me to grab a flash drive and do so. Oh well. Next year.
1st hour (8:15ish - 9:00 PM) :
Theme from The Tomorrow People
The Ruby Suns - Tane Mahuta
The Bubblemen - The Bubblemen Are Coming

Alumni Weekend Save-the-date, stuff.
Feb. 23rd, 2011 04:28 pmThe 29th Annual WBNY Alumni Weekend is set for April 15 - 17, 2011. More to follow, assuming I get an air shift this year.
Also, still very sad over hearing about Nicholas Courtney's passing, but I'm failing at coming up with words right now, so I'll just put up the discussion post link here. Edit: Here is a link from Tom Baker's blog, also.
And work is eating my face so that's all for now!

In an effort to distract myself, I have decided it is time to post another old macro! This was for a contest on
dietennant back in 2008, where you had to Photoshop a specific picture of David Tennant into the macro in a funny way. And I, being the Old-Who fan that I am, decided to bring in a few other Doctors along the way...
Images from Tragical History Tour, shillPages and Time-and-space.co.uk. 30 images. Stored on photobucket, which is loading very very slowly for me today. You may need to refresh to get the whole macro. :(

Book meme!
Nov. 5th, 2010 05:14 pmThe BBC believes most people will have read only 6 of the 100 books here. How do your reading habits stack up? Bold the ones you’ve read! Italicize the ones you’ve partially read!

Oct. 13th, 2010 04:39 pmAnd on a completely different note, if you want cute things today, go look at this:

They have fezes at the Spirit Halloween store. It almost makes me tempted to put together a costume for 11.
Of course, I'd be the roundest 11 ever and I already spent a couple of hundred dollars on the costume I AM going to wear, so it's not going to happen. I did try on the fez anyway. I looked very, very silly.

Blah, blah, tele-blah.
Sep. 23rd, 2010 09:30 pmIt is so weird that Survivor is on Wednesdays now. All day I've been at work thinking I'll have that to look forward to when I get home and then I realize I WATCHED IT YESTERDAY.
Also, there is so much crazy going on this season. Between that and Raj on "Hell's Kitchen", I think my brain scamped out of my my ears and went and hid under the couch.
That's okay. I don't really want to think for a week or so.

So. GenCon.
Things I did not do: Get any autographs. Play any demo games. Get a reasonable amount of sleep. Eat at that one place that offered some yummy looking sandwiches because I forgot the name of it.
Things I did do: Ate at Noodles and Company too many times. But so tasty! Ate a lovely bacon and leek tartlet at Claddagh Irish Pub (And had a Guinness, of course). Went on the Zombie walk as a 60's flower child zombie. The line above was actually heard more than once on that. :) Played in You Too Can Cthulhu, which I've wanted to play for 3 years now. IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT, PEOPLE. Best damn game ever. Played in a Doctor Who game, a Buffy Game, the usual Who's Line Is It Anyway Game and premiered the very villainous Professor Generic, who successfully got into the Evil League of Evil...well, on a semi-permanent business, and as part of an auxiliary all-female part of the league, but girl power rules so it's all good.
Also, Professor Generic is available for your low-cost Evil Needs, although the weapons do tend to be yellow and black...
Spent way too much in the dealer's room, got my damn steampunk goggles and realized my outfit is very Girl Genius. Wore it all day Saturday anyway. Melted from the heat at lot. Still sore from all the walking!
All in all, had the usual great time!! Can't wait until next year. Pictures coming...uh, when I'm arsed to actually upload them.

BFA Jamie/Six audios
May. 26th, 2010 04:05 pmSo...I got the new The Wreck of the Titan audio on Saturday, and I have to say, I'm REALLY enjoying where they're going with the storyline. Also. Jamie is love. But everyone knows how I feel about that anyway.
If anyone wants to discuss this here with me, feel free. Spoilers possible in the comments!
